Master Confined Space Hazard Recognition and Entry Control
Before work begins at a worksite, each employer must ensure that a competent person identifies all confined spaces and identifies each space that is a permit space. Confined spaces, including tanks, manholes, silos, sewers, and vaults, present atmospheric and physical hazards that can trap, injure, or kill workers who enter without proper evaluation and control.
This course teaches you to recognize what makes a space confined, when a permit is required, how to test and monitor the atmosphere, what controls to implement before entry, and how to coordinate safe entry operations. You'll learn the duties and authority of competent persons, entry supervisors, authorized entrants, and attendants under both 29 CFR 1910.146 and 29 CFR 1926 Subpart AA.
