Workers who have completed initial HAZWOPER training must refresh their knowledge annually. This 8-hour online refresher reviews essential topics from initial training, updates to regulations and procedures, and critical safety practices for hazardous waste operations and emergency response.
Annual Requirement Review

For Workers with Initial HAZWOPER Training
This course is designed for workers who have already completed initial 24-hour or 40-hour HAZWOPER training and need to fulfill their annual 8-hour refresher training requirement.
Workers engaged in cleanup operations at uncontrolled hazardous waste sites or RCRA corrective action sites.
Employees working at treatment, storage, or disposal facilities who are exposed or potentially exposed to hazardous substances.

Annual HAZWOPER Refresher Training
HAZWOPER-trained workers must complete 8 hours of refresher training annually to maintain their competencies and stay current with regulations, procedures, and safe work practices.
