Know What the Corps of Engineers Expects on Site
EM 385-1-1 is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' safety and health manual, covering USACE-administered projects and many DoD contracts — construction, environmental, and service work. Where it's more stringent than OSHA's standards, it governs.
This 16-hour course starts with an orientation for general site personnel, then covers 15 chapters of the 2024 manual — PPE, fall protection, excavation, and confined space among them. It's self-paced knowledge training, not a replacement for site-specific instruction or contract requirements.
